Her condition is mostly unchanged but stable.
She can breath on her own(with the help of oxygen).
She cannot recognise her surrounding yet.

For the past week, Drs re-do some tests, including CT scan(x2), MRI(x2), EEG tests, blood tests etc. Unfortunately, all tests came out clear. They are still unable to identify the cause.
Currently she is in stable condition as all organs still functioning very well.

Last Thursday and Friday weren't PS's blessed days. Her illnesses got worsen during these two days.
She was meant having another MRI scan on Friday but due to her illnesses, they delayed it.
Dr had to prescribe a new drug on late Friday to calm her.
However, she got minor side effects (rashes) on next day (Saturday) due to the new drug.
Under that circumstances, dermatologist stepped in and prescribes another drug to overcome the side effects.
Finally; over the weekend, both drugs managed to: gradually reduce the fits and ease the rashes.
At last, she managed to attend her second MRI test today. (However, the test results still shown negative, i.e. no cause found).

Since yesterday (Sunday) 3pm till just now Monday (1005 pm), which nearly 31 hrs, there isn’t any fit reported (finger crossed). But… (there always a “but”), she is still heavily sedated.
To get a conclusive result, the sedation needs carefully and gradually reduce over the week (bear in mind that she is still having at least 6 different types of sedation drugs at the same time).

然而从昨日(星期日)下午三时到刚才星期一(晚上十时零五分),将近31小时了,PS並没有发生任何抽搐.但是...(总是有"但是"),她仍然是在很重的镇静剂下休养.
要获得进一步的确认,至少要一周时间,因为需要仔细和逐渐减少镇静剂.(别忘了她现在在同一时间内,服用至少6种不同类型的镇静药物).

Spoken to 2 consultants, i.e. ICU and Neurologist, agreed to apply steroid to PS.
Lets see if there is any improvement while waiting for test results (which some might take up weeks).
Will redo MRI scan again this week.

7 days passed.
The blood test results came back negative again.
The doctors will do more test and felt frustrated too. They might redo some of the test.
Tomorrow will have a discussion with consultant. They are looking for rare disease cause now.
It is killing me to update everyday without any significant improvement. I might just leave a simple note here until any breakthrough.

Not much different for PS today.
Dr. increased back her sedation to the level she had in her first 2 days in ICU.
Lowered down her sedation in last 2 days seems triggered the fits more frequently.
Same medication prescribed.
Yesterday EEG test did pick up something but still unknown about the cause.
Now, neurologist tends to dismiss the possibility of infection. In fact, they might start looking for trace of autoimmune disease.

Today has been a busy day.
After the boys a week long mid-term holidays, they finally go back to school.
The boys attended half day class only. Mrs DS came to our house, looked after the boys so that I could pick PS’s father straight from the airport and go to hospital.
Nurse told me since yesterday evening until today 2pm, PS had 2 minor fits. However, they managed to get EEG test and waits for consultant to interpret it tomorrow.
The doctors decided to keep her as before conditions but with a little bit lighter sedation.
At 430pm, we witnessed another seizure, this time it last nearly 15 seconds.
I decided to spend tonight with the boys, put them to bed and back to hospital in late evening (managed to arrange my late visit with nurse)
Rang again to ICU at 930pm, was told since the 430pm there is no more fit.

Father-in-law called. Currently, he is in Terminal 1. (His interntaional flight landed in Terminal 3 on time)
Called to ICU, PS is still the same; no fit since the previous one last evening.
Not sure the doctors will remove the intubation and sedation after yesterday seizure.
Just wish she will cope well.

Nurse said PS had a 40-45 seconds of fit previously. After increased a bit of sedation, she is now calmed down.
Will see how she is doing in the morning.
Her dad will landing around noon time, feel sorry to bring him over to see his daughter on bed under this condition.

Still the same, nothing improved. Even she responded to nurse commands, opened nearly 3/4 of her eyes to my voice, moved a bit of her limps; but the real improvement will be no more fit after removal of both the sedation and intubation!

Back again to hospital around 2005pm. This time I had pre-recorded the boys greetings and saved to her mini USB-MP3 player. I left it on her ears and asked the nurse to keep on playing it as it contains lots of her favourite songs. Hope that she likes it and manage response to them.

I am so sorry for my late updates. I need to simplify all in below points:
- PS has no fit during 0830-1305
- tried to wake her up by turned off sedation
- in middle of woke up, her facial seizure appeared again, they decided turn back on the sedation immediately
-suspect new medication not kicks in yet, decided to wait further 24 hrs
-around 1330pm, PS responded to nurse command; opened eyes (1/3 opened), squeezed palm hand, and moved legs.
-Dr. suggested to re-do the EEG test again tomorrow morning.
-around 1615pm, nurse cleaned her eyes, she was 1/3 opened eyes. Nurse said PS seems doesn’t like nurse cleaned her eyes. I ran to her ear and asked her open her eyes again if she heard me… and she did open 1/3 of her eyes for 2 seconds.
- told her about the kids and seems like tear appeared at the end of her eye.

Visited PS with my personal friend Dr. DY accompanied.
Due to ongoing heavy sedation applied, she doesn’t respond to me.
The duty doctor briefed me about the latest plans:
　- Despite the sedation, she still had fit. (seizure or convulsion)
- Will supply another anti-fit medication recommended by neurologists. (i.e. total with 2 different anti-fits)
- will try gradually reducing medication and close-watch if she is still fit during the process.
- no further test as both the complex CAT and MRI tests showed normal outcomes.

Sincere thanks to our family friends:
- Mrs. DS. , Miss F, Dr. and Mrs B, Dr. DY and MR Kee. (will ask for their permission before publishing their names.)

The children were well behaved over these few days. They played very well with Mrs DS and Miss F whom came to our house and spent valuable time for few hours each days.
Dr. and Mrs B, our neighbour who brought the boys over to their house and allowed them jumping around, up and down.
Dr. DY, who accompanied me to the intensive care unit and explained lots of the medical procedures, treatments and the ethos of UK NHS (National Health Service).
Mr. Kee. who helps to arrange my father-in-law’s UK flights(will arriving UK on Monday afternoon).

I also want to express my thanks to my parents (mum and dad), father-in-law, brothers-in-law, my brothers and sister, relatives and friends for their kind support and helps.
I apology if I can’t thank all of you personally but I’ll remember all of you and it will be in my heart forever.

Visited PS but she is still intubated.
Heavy sedation has been applied to put her in good rest.
Hands responded well to pain but foots are not.
Eye closed but nurse said she responded well to light.
The MRI test shows all well, no blood clot or swelling in brain.
Another treatment plan will be discussed and wish to carry out more tests.
In general: stable and still not knowing the cause.
